Well, this week has been pretty busy for me. I had switched days at work with someone so I could have last week off for my
DH's surgery. So I had to work a couple extra days this week. Then things were really busy at home. We have decided to have our landscaping completely re-done! We have had a crew working all day for almost 2 weeks now. I will have to post some pictures when they are all done. It's gorgeous. We also had an interior decorator come in to help us pick out some paint for our basement walls. We started re-finishing our basement a few months ago and are at the paint point in the process. She picked out some gorgeous colors. I am getting a studio down there, and it is going to look fabulous! So with all these things going on I didn't get to start my
FFF challenge until yesterday. But I did manage to try out 3 different unique folds and this was my favorite. (I posted 3 pictures so you could see how it swings open and sort of flips to reveal the greeting)

The very first thing I did was print up a tutorial from
Splitcoast. This is a swing/flip flop card and you can see the tutorial
here. Next I stamped the image and colored it with my
Zig watercolor markers. Then I cut out the two flowers (the original image had 3). Next I cut the card base according to the instructions. Then I cut 2 pink pieces of
cardstock to fit in the swing portion of the card. Then I glued the flower images on the pink
cardstock and glued that to the card base. Next I hand wrote the sentiment "if friends were flowers... I'd pick you", on the second piece of pink
cardstock and used my Marcy corner punch on the corners and glued that on the opposite side of the swing part. Then I added some ribbon that I had knotted in 3 places.
Supplies : stamp - Magenta, cardstock - Bazzill, ribbon - Bobbie M. Designs, corner rounder by Marvy Uchida, Zig watercolor markers.
I'll post the other unique folds I tried out in the next few days. But now I need to get ready for our Michigan
Shackie meet up tonight!
Yay! I am very excited to see all my
shackie friends, it's been a while. I hope I actually get some work done, but more than likely I won't :) I'm usually too busy chatting away!
So did you try this weeks challenge? I would love to see your unique folds. And don't forget to check out
Jen's card for this weeks challenge. Have a wonderful weekend.
Happy Crafting,
Kimmy
