It's Friday! This week I challenged
Jen to use dimensional glaze on a project. Since I was feeling in a java mood after making some
ATC's, I decided to go with it.
Here is what I came up with:

For this card I used a layout I have been waiting to try. I got a card from a friend of mine with this different type of fold. To make the card I cut a piece of light tan
cardstock to 5 1/2" x 6 1/4". Next, I got out my
Scor-Pal ( I love this tool!) and lined up the card horizontally making a score at the 2" mark. Then I got out my clear coffee stamp set. I stamped the
coffee
cup on a beige
cardstock using black
Staz-On ink. I colored the image with my
Prismacolor and
Copic markers. Then I punched out the image using my
Marvy Uchida giga scallop oval punch . Next I used a sponge and my Tim
Holtz distressing ink to ink the background. Next, I used my art print brown ink to ink the outer edges of the image. Then I took my
Coluzzle and cut an oval that was a little larger than my scallop oval. I inked this oval with the art print brown. I then put dimensional glaze on the "coffee" inside the cup and the steam and set that aside to dry.

I then cut another piece of the beige
cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4". I took the bean from my clear stamp set and using
Versa Mark ink I put beans all over the right side. Then I stamped "
espressly for you" on the lower right corner using art print brown ink. I then inked the edges in a brown and glued the piece centered on the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" side of the card. I then folded the card and put a piece of scrap paper under the 2" flap. Then I took the coffee mug image again and stamped it several times on the 2" flap using
Versa Mark ink. Once the dimensional glaze was dry I glued the oval piece to the top of the 2" flap and viola! Don't forget to look at
Jen's card for this challenge.
Supplies : stamps by Hero Arts sparkle clear coffee set, cardstock by The Paper Company, Prismacolor and Copic markers, inks by Ranger, Memories (art print brown), Versa Mark, Staz-On black, Marvy Uchida Giga scallop oval punch, Coluzzle oval, Diamond Glaze.
Did you make a card with Dimensional Glaze this week? If so please post a link to it and remember I am giving away blog candy at the end of the month for one lucky participant. Do you have any challenges you would like to see? Post them by Monday under this post for a separate blog candy give-away.
Well, any plans for the weekend? I have to work this weekend (YUCK), so no big plans for me. Tonight DH is going to a "boys night" at his buddies how so guess what I will be doing? CRAFTING AWAY! ha ha ha. Of course I am sure I will spend some time on the Shack too. If you're a member what do you think of the changes? I am loving the new look.
Stay tuned Sunday for next weeks challenge announcement!
Happy Crafting,
Kimmy

I just made a christmas card using paper glaze. I posted it at the Shack, since I don't have a blog.
