Easter Greetings

A while back I stamped a ton of images to take with me somewhere (I can't remember where right now) so that I could color to pass the time. I found a box full of images some colored some not. I figured I better put them to use. I forgot how cute this darn Riley (from Riley and Company stamps) was and had to color him!

After coloring the image, I added some glitter to the egg with my Spica pens (sorry you can't see that in the pic). Then I cut Riley out with my Nestabilities egg die. I inked the edges. Then I cut out a piece of purple card stock in the next largest egg size and ran it through my cuttlebug using the D'vine Swirls embossing folder. Next I added some yellow brilliance in to the embossed parts.  Then I got some ribbon and put everything together. The sentiment is a Studio G stamp I got for $1 at Michaels.

Thanks for stopping by hope you enjoyed my Easter Riley!

Just Rite Stampers challenge #49

I finally am participating in one of the Just Rite Stampers challenges! I say I am going to every time and end up forgetting about it or something comes up. This challenge was the direct to rubber challenge so I used a marker to color the areas of the Easter stamp I wanted to use. And this is the final product :

and here is a close up of the cross so you can see how I only inked a portion of the stamp. I also used my Copic markers to color in the rhinestones on the purple flowers. The white flowers were made using a punch and some brads.

I liked this so much that I am going to use the same idea for an ATC swap I am in.

supplies: paper by The Paper Company, stamp - Just Rite (Favorite Occasions Borders and Centers), ink Zig Marker and Copic marker, Purple flowers by Prima, rhinestones by Kaiser, flower punch by Paper Shapers, brads by Joann Craft Essentials, Spellbinders cross and nestabilities circles and scallop circles.

Thanks for looking and Happy Crafting,

Hoppy Easter!

HOPPY EASTER!!!
This weeks Fun-Filled Friday challenge was to make an Easter card. Here is what I came up with :

I did a couple of different things with this card. I stamped my image on watercolor paper and used my SU! inks with a water pen to color in my bunnies. I think it turned out pretty good, especially for a first try. I also used my SU! piercing template I got for my birthday. It makes paper piercing so easy!

Here is a close up of my coloring:

Supplies :
  • stamp Happy Hoppers by Stampendous
  • paper - watercolor paper by Archivers, card stock by The Paper Company
  • miscellaneous - Prima Flowers, SU! paper piercing template, SU! inks, SU! Photo Corner Punch, brads by Joann Craft Essentials
Well, I hope you are all getting ready for a nice Easter. I unfortunately have to work this weekend and Sunday will be a 16 hour day for me - YUCK! So have some candy and hunt some eggs for me:)

Happy Easter!

Hope the Easter bunny was good to you today!

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday! I got a beautiful charm bracelet from my sister, her hubby and my parents. It is gorgeous. The charms are all white gold and some have diamond chips in them. I wanted one since I was a little girl. My mom had gotten when when she turned 21 and I remember playing with it when I was a child and having her tell me the story behind each charm. Hopefully one day my bracelet will be full of memories too. (I will post a pic later after my blog lesson with my sister).

Today I am looking forward to spending time with my hubby and my sister to celebrate Easter. What are your plans? Normally I would have to work Sunday night, but tomorrow I have to go for some tests at the hospital so had to take the night off. I am trying to stay positive that there will be no bad news from the Dr.'s. I have been dealing with some issues for a while, I don't like the Dr's idea of what could be wrong so I won't post about that until I know for sure. They said there should be some answers 2-3 weeks after all my tests so I have my calendar marked and my fingers crossed. Also alot of prayers from loved one's - Thanks!

Well enjoy your day whatever you do! Feel free to eat as much as you want, it's Easter!
fuzzy bunny hugs,
Kimmy
